EDITORIAL
Critical results, formerly called “panic values,” are laboratory results which indicate a health risk or disease state that requires very rapid medical attention. Clinical laboratories have policies that define which results are critical values and how the laboratory will notify a clinical provider of these results. Read the comic strip to find out more.
